What is CA Foundation?

It's the entry-level exam for Chartered Accountancy under ICAI.
Open to students who’ve completed 12th grade.
Focuses on accounting, business law, mathematics, and economics.
It's the first step in the CA course.
The format includes multiple-choice and sometimes descriptive questions.

Conducted By

The exam is run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Purpose

It’s the entry-level test for becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Frequency

Held twice a year, usually around May and November.
separately by getting 40 out of 100 , Failing to meet the minimum in any one subject means you fail the entire exam.
Failing to achieve 40 marks in any single paper results in failing the exam, regardless of the overall score.
As per the latest CA Foundation exam pattern, there is no negative marking.
