The village of Iringalakuda is one of the sixty-four villages of Kerala which is a parasite. The National Freedom Movement was the first meeting of the Cochin Rajya Praja Mandal in January 1942. Irinjalakuda is land and coastal region where the topography and sand are the major factors. The country has a rich cultural heritage that has witnessed many cultural developments. It is also believed that the name 'Iruchalukku Idai' came to be known as Irinjalakkadakkal as the area between Chalakkudipuzha in the north and Kurumalipuzha in the south. The place-name historical texts record that Jaina-influenced places are associated with the sound of 'Iringa' and hence the name 'Irinjalakuda'. The new theory is that the grouping of the two temples means the irungkal kudal and it is the Irinjalakuda. The history of Irinjalakuda is incomplete without the mention of Unni Warayamalai and the Kudalmanikya Temple which is a confluence of temple arts. Unni Warayar and Ammannoor Chakyas, who are still practicing the vital arts of Koothu and Kudiyattam, are weeping proudly. A large number of ceremonies are held around the site, reminiscent of the old flooring tradition. It is believed that Hanuman is in Thidapalli and Durga and Bhadrakali are in the south and north of the gate. The Eritha Pooja, Udha Pooja, and Athazha Puja are performed. Sandalwood or camphor is not used for the pooja. This magnificent "tandika ravaya" is a must-see.
