B2 Level German Language Learning Syllabus
(CEFR Framework) (120 Hours)
The B2 level enhances fluency, allowing learners to engage in more complex discussions, understand detailed texts, and communicate effectively in both personal and professional settings.
1. Communication & Conversation Skills
- Expressing and defending opinions in discussions
- Talking about abstract concepts and hypothetical situations
- Engaging in debates on social, political, and cultural topics
- Understanding and using idiomatic expressions
- Giving presentations and structured arguments
2. Grammar Topics
- Verb Tenses & Moods:
- Subjunctive II (Konjunktiv II) – "Wenn ich reich wäre, würde ich um die Welt reisen."
- Future Perfect (Futur II) – "Bis nächste Woche werde ich das Buch gelesen haben."
- Passive voice in different tenses
- Complex Sentence Structures:
- Relative clauses with "welcher" and "dessen, deren"
- Subordinate clauses (obwohl, während, sodass, als ob)
- Indirect speech (Konjunktiv I) – "Er sagte, er habe keine Zeit."
- Advanced Adjective Declension:
- Usage in comparisons and superlatives (je … desto …)
- Nominalization & Causative Structures:
- "Das Lernen der Sprache ist wichtig."
- "Er ließ sein Auto reparieren."
